Our 2017 Malbec is from Southern Oregon where it was harvested in mid October at the peak of ripeness. Our Malbec was fermented in small T-bins, punched down two / three times daily for ultimate extraction. Macerated for ten days on skins then pressed to barrel for two years in 40% new French Oak.
Malbec is primarily found in the Cahors region of France and more recently the winegrowing regions of Argentina. Also know as Cot this variety is know for its dark color and savory flavors.
Tasting Notes: A wine you will drink with your eyes! Dark inky color invites you into this amazing big bold red. The nose leads off with blackberry fruit and brambly notes backed by vanilla and cocoa and a touch of graphite. Soft leather tannins with bright acidity on the finish. This is a stunner and will be enjoyed for years to come.
Pairs well with: Smoked Beef Brisket or Traditional Eggplant Parmigiana
